A mammogram is performed by a X-ray technician and lasts only a few minutes. To find out what this procedure involves, consult our detailed section on mammogram.
When should I have a mammogram?
A mammogram is usually performed when a problem such as a discharge, nodule or skin or nipple changes are detected by a health care professional. Mammograms are also performed for breast cancer screening.

Results are sent by fax, electronic medical record (EMR) or mail within 7 to 10 business days of the procedure (if we already have previous mammograms on hand, where applicable).
